A Message from Suellen: A Season of Gratitude and Giving - Ensure Her Christmas Table is Full + An Urgent Update

Dear Faithful Friends,

As the golden light of November settles around us, my heart is overflowing with gratitude for you. Your support is the steady rhythm that allows this mission to beat with hope for the vulnerable and brokenhearted.

Last month, you read about Anja’s rescue. Today, I wish you could see the light returning to her eyes. She is safe, she is healing, and she is beginning to dream again, all because you helped provide a safety net of care. Your compassion creates a ripple effect of transformation, and for that, we are eternally thankful.

Sometimes in the middle of our busy schedules, numerous activities and responsibilities we need a reminder about God’s heart for those who are hurting and taken advantage of. Please read our November blogpost: Heart of Mercy Mission

As we look to the season of our Savior’s birth, we are presented with a sacred opportunity to make His love as tangible as a warm meal and as protective as a pair of sturdy shoes.

**Our Primary Mission: The Christmas Table of Hope**

For a mother trapped in poverty or fleeing exploitation, the Christmas season can magnify her feelings of failure and isolation. The sight of others celebrating can be a sharp reminder of all she cannot provide.

This is why we are launching our Christmas Table of Hope Project. Our goal is to deliver a complete, nourishing Christmas meal and a week’s worth of groceries to 50 high-risk families.

Imagine a woman like Elena, whom you supported last month, able to sit at a table overflowing with food she didn't have to sacrifice her dignity to obtain. Imagine her children's joy, and the profound message it sends: “You are not forgotten. You are loved. The hope of Christmas is for you, too.”

For just $75, you can remove the burden of a barren table and replace it with a feast of hope and dignity.

Yes, I Want to Provide a Christmas Meal for a Family!

A Continuing, Urgent Need: Safe, Warm Feet for Winter

While we prepare for Christmas, the bitter winter is already arriving. Our urgent call to protect the most vulnerable from predators—who often target children who are cold and poorly clothed—remains critical.

We are still working to provide winter shoes for 35 at-risk children. This is not just a gift of warmth; it is a shield. It is a tangible expression of God’s care that says, “You are worth protecting.”

If your heart is led to give a second gift, for just $40, you can wrap a child's feet in warmth and safety this winter.

A Steadfast Commitment: Our Ongoing Work

Your generosity fuels our daily mission. In October, because of you:

⇒ 22 families received nourishing food packages.

⇒ 10 individuals accessed critical medical and dental care.

⇒ 9 women continued their brave journeys of healing through consistent counseling.

You are the heart and hands of this work.

With a heart full of gratitude,

Suellen Roberts

A Message from Suellen: Hope Binds Up the Brokenhearted
This is some text inside of a div block.

Dear Friends,

As the seasons begin to shift, we are reminded that change and renewal are always possible, even in the darkest of circumstances. This month, our hearts turn toward the most vulnerable among us.

Please join us in prayer that at-risk children—especially those in the Gypsy community—would be shielded from exploitation. We also pray for stronger community awareness, as we have two events planned in public schools this October to raise awareness and help families identify danger signs.

The Power of Intervention

We have a wonderful praise report to share: Anja, one of the young women our team has been counseling, is now safe, and the person planning to traffic her has been jailed. Praise God for the timely intervention by the police that ensured she was rescued!

This rescue reminds us why we fight. If you want to dive deeper into the root of this issue, I encourage you to read my latest post: "Speak Up" https://www.heartofmercymission.org/post/speak-up

One Life Changed: Elena’s Journey

This month, we want you to meet Elena, a 35-year-old mother of four who found herself trapped by severe anxiety and suicidal thoughts after a difficult life. Through medical care and counseling, Elena has taken her first steps toward healing and hope. Our team was privileged to support her journey with food packages and clothing for her whole family, reminding her and her children that they are seen and loved. Her story is a testament to the God who binds up the brokenhearted.

Our Progress, Thanks to You

Your support directly translates into tangible acts of mercy and care in our community. This past month alone, your generosity helped our team provide:

· 20 food packages for women and their families.

· Dental help and medications for 14 people.

· Dedicated counseling for 8 women (receiving 5-8 sessions each).

Urgent Need: Winter Shoes

With the cold weather approaching, we have an urgent and specific need to protect children in high-risk families. We desperately need winter shoes for 35 children who are vulnerable to trafficking.

Each pair costs $40. Please help us provide warmth and safety this season by contributing toward this goal. https://www.heartofmercymission.org/donate

Thank you, as always, for being the heart and hands of this mission.

With Deep Gratitude,

Suellen Roberts

A Prayer for October

Father, we praise You for the freedom and healing You bring each day. Please grant us the wisdom to recognize the vulnerable and the courage to act, especially as we raise awareness and urgently seek to provide winter shoes. Shield every child from harm and use us to bring Your justice and hope.

Amen.
